Clyne penned a five-year contract worth £90,000 a week at Anfield after Southampton accepted the Reds' £12.5million offer for the full-back.
He will line up alongside former Saints team-mates Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert next season as Liverpool seek a return to the Premier League top four.
And Clyne, who was also wanted by Manchester United this summer, told the Liverpool Echo that a discussion with Lallana convinced him to join the Merseyside club.
"We spoke a lot," he said. "He said he wanted me to sign and I said if the deal moves along and gets done, I'd be with him as a team-mate once again.

"He said it's a good club, a big club with a huge fan base.
"He said the team is good and that they are a good bunch of lads. He told me I'd be made to feel welcome if I joined.
