Leeds prepare £2.5m striker BID as Leicester close in on £7.5m DEAL
LEEDS UNITED have joined Wolves, Fulham and QPR in the race to sign out-of-favour Leicester striker Chris Wood.
Chris Wood attracts interest from Leeds United
Reports suggest Leeds are lining up a £2.5million bid to sign the New Zealand international, who has bagged 37 Championship goals so far in his career.
The 23-year-old managed just seven Premier League starts for the Foxes last season, with Jamie Vardy, David Nugent, Leonardo Ulloa and Andrej Kramaric all favoured up front.
Wood is expected to fall further down the pecking order this summer as Nigel Pearson's side close in on a move for Mainz forward Shinji Okazaki.
Championship rivals Wolves, Fulham and QPR are also believed to be keen on Wood's signature going into the summer transfer window.
