Forgotten Arsenal star Wellington Silva set for new contract
ARSENAL youngster Wellington Silva is set to be handed a new deal at the club according to reports.
Wellington Silva in action for Almeria last season
The Brazilian winger signed for Arsenal in 2011 but is yet to make an appearance due to the lack of a work permit.
He was sent on loan by boss Arsene Wenger to various Spanish clubs, including Levante and Almeria, where he made 31 appearances last season.
However, the 22-year-old was granted a Spanish passport in April giving him European Union citizenship and can now finally join up with Arsenal.
According to ESPN FC, Wenger is keen to give the Wellington a new long-term deal with just one year remaining on his current deal.
They also claim Wellington could be sent out on loan again next season to get accustomed with English football.
