Germany defender REFUSES to rule out transfer to Arsenal or Manchester United
BENEDIKT HOWEDES has put Premier League clubs on alert after refusing to commit his future to Schalke.
Arsenal are closing in on a move for Benedikt Howedes
The Germany defender's situation is being monitored by Arsenal and Manchester United.
And according to German publication Kicker the Gunners have made an approach.
Howedes played left-back during the World Cup, but can also operate in the centre.
Earlier this season he admitted his preference would be to move abroad, with England a dream destination.
"If I am to leave Schalke one day, I do not want to move clubs within the Bundesliga," he said.
"Schalke is too close to my heart to do so. But a move abroad at a certain time would be worth an experience. England would be my goal."
