CONFIRMED: Lars Stindl REJECTS Liverpool move for Bundesliga stay
HANNOVER midfielder Lars Stindl has rejected the chance to join Liverpool and instead agreed to sign for Borussia Monchengladbach.
Lars Stindl has agreed to Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of the season
The 26-year-old will sign a deal until June 2020, subject to a medical examination.
Stindl will help fill in for Germany midfielder Christoph Kramer, who is returning to Bayer Leverkusen after his loan spell.
Kicker reports that Stindl's contract with Hannover was up next year and that Monchengladbach will pay a buy-out clause of £2.2million.
Liverpool had targeted the former Germany Under-21 international during January as a potential replacement for LA Galaxy-bound Steven Gerrard.

We are delighted that he’s chosen to move here
Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl said on the deal: “We faced some tough competition to secure the signing of Lars Stindl.
“We are delighted that he’s chosen to move here.
“He can play in several midfield positions and has shown as Hannover captain that he has the experience to assume responsibility.”
Stindl has scored 15 goals and set up 20 more in 124 league games for Hannover since joining from Karlsruher SC in 2010.
