The in-form Tottenham striker was called into his first international squad last week.
And today Hodgson has had his notes pictured with Wayne Rooney listed next to Kane - with both names circled.
And while not confirmation the two will start together, it looks like the combination is at least being tried today in training.

Captain Rooney is certain of his place and uncapped Kane, in the absence of injured Daniel Sturridge, is an option to play with the Man United man.
Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott and Raheem Sterling are all likely to be considered but with 19 Premier League goals Kane may get his chance.
James Milner, Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka did not take part in full training earlier - instead doing gym work, but are both expected to be fit for Friday.
Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke was called to make the numbers up in training.
