Twitter goes into MELTDOWN as Smalling, Shaw, Barkley and Gibbs receive England call-ups
ROY HODGSON'S inclusion of Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, Ross Barkley and Kieran Gibbs has sparked outrage on Twitter.
Roy Hodgson's England squad receives heavy criticism on Twitter
Hodgson named the four players in his 24-man squad for the March 27 Euro 2016 Group E qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley and the friendly against Italy later this month.
Tottenham's Harry Kane stole the headlines by earning his first Three Lions call-up, but many were left aggrieved by several other inclusions.
Twitter users were mostly concerned with the likes of Manchester United defenders Smalling and Shaw, Everton's Barkley and Arsenal's Gibbs - read here for the full squad.
And here are a few examples:
How on earth does Chris Smalling keep making the #EnglandSquad??? He shouldnt b anywhere near a prem squad let alone the national squad #Eng
