Winston Reid - Player Profile
The New Zealand international's current contract runs out in the summer and he's been linked with a move to either Arsenal, Tottenham or Manchester United.
But reports emerged earlier in the week suggesting the 26-year-old is considering staying put.
Reid has been one of the club's stand-out performers this season.
West Ham are hopeful Winston Reid will stay
Sam Allarydce's side have performed above expectations but have gone five Premier League games without a win and have dropped to ninth.
They face Chelsea tonight and while three points could see them move up to eighth, defeat - coupled with a Stoke win over Everton - would see them move down to tenth.
But, according to David Gold, the Hammers want Reid stay and think he could sign a new deal.
When asked about the player's future on Twitter, Gold wrote: "I am hopeful that Winston will sign for us. dg".
