Ashley Young HITS BACK at Sam Allardyce over long-ball jibe
ASHLEY YOUNG has launched a staunch defence of Manchester United's style of play, amid criticism from West Ham boss Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce claimed United employed "hit and hope" tactics on Sunday in order to net an injury time equaliser courtesy of Daley Blind.
Although Louis van Gaal's side have come under criticism for their ponderous style of play, Young is adamant that long-ball tactics isn't part of their DNA.
"Lots of people are saying it's not our style, but we're happy with how things are going," Young told BBC Sport.

"The boys have fought back at West Ham and showed the team spirit to get the point."
The draw left United fourth in the table.
They will be looking to atone for Sunday's display with victory at home to Burnley tomorrow evening (7:45pm).
