£1m Tony Andreu heads for Norwich
HAMILTON last night sold Tony Andreu to Norwich for £1million and released fellow striker Mickael Antoine-Curier by mutual agreement.
Tony Andreu has joined Norwich
Former Accies boss Alex Neil returned to his old stomping ground to agree a deal for Andreu.
The 26-year-old, above, had a medical last night and is expected to be paraded at Carrow Road today.
Accies made it clear they wouldn’t be prepared to let him leave for less than £1m and Norwich – who also splashed out £4m for Scotland ace Graham Dorrans from West Brom – came up with the cash for Andreu.
Fellow Frenchman Antoine-Curier, 31, is seeking a new club after ending his third spell at Accies.
Meanwhile, Czech midfielder Nico Sumsky joined Hamilton, signing a one-year deal.
The 21-year-old had impressed player-boss Martin Canning in a trial spell.
Sumsky joins on a free transfer from Slovakian outfit Dukla Banska Bystrica.
Accies had also hoped to land Dean Shiels from Rangers, but the Championship club refused to do business despite repeated bids.
Inverness Caley Thistle and St Mirren were also refused permission to do deals with Shiels.
