CONFIRMED: Everton win race to sign Stoke and Hull target Aaron Lennon
EVERTON beat-off interest from the likes of Stoke and Hull to land Aaron Lennon on loan.
Aaron Lennon had lost his way at Spurs
The Tottenham winger, 27, will initially move to Goodison Park for the rest of the season but Everton have an option to make the deal permanent.
Lennon will arrive with a point to prove after seeing his career stall at Spurs and he could make his debut in the Merseyside derby with Liverpool on Saturday.
Tottenham had been linked with a move for Everton's Kevin Mirallas but Martinez ruled out his departure.
Tottenham, meanwhile were already looking to future, hoping to complete a medical late last night on MK Dons starlet Dele Alli in order to complete a £5million transfer.

The 18-year-old Liverpool fan has been labelled "the next Steven Gerrard" and has been scouted by clubs right across Europe.
However, he is understood to have been won over by Tottenham's proximity to his Buckinghamshire home – especially as the club have agreed for him to return immediately to League One to complete the season with MK Dons.
His arrival in the summer fits in with Mauricio Pochettino's aim to blood a young, largely home-grown team at White Hart Lane after blooding players such as Ryan Mason and Eric Dier to join Nabil Bentaleb and Harry Kane as more established members of the first team.
The latter indeed was arguably the club's most significant signing of deadline day, with Kane putting pen to paper on a new five-and-a-half year deal worth about £35,000 a week.

Elsewhere, Reading signed former Everton and Portsmouth striker Yakubu on a short-term deal after his release from Qatari club Al Rayyan.
The 32-year-old has been out of English football since leaving Blackburn in 2012.
Bafetimbi Gomis ended uncertainty over his future by confirming he will stay at Swansea.
The France international had appeared to be looking for a transfer despite the sale of Wilfried Bony making him the No?1 striker at the club.
Crystal Palace lodged a £9?m bid and West Ham made an offer. But Gomis tweeted yesterday: "I have decided to stay. Even if I was sad before because I didn't play a lot, now everything is different."
