Huddersfield's Tommy Smith discharged after being airlifted to hospital in Leeds defeat
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN defender Tommy Smith has been discharged from hospital after suffering a serious head injury in the West Yorkshire derby with Leeds United yesterday.

Smith collided with goalkeeper Joe Murphy when trying to defend Billy Sharp's late winner as Leeds triumphed 2-1 at the John Smith's Stadium.
He received treatment for nine minutes on the pitch, with medical staff trying to resuscitate the 22-year-old with oxygen.
He was then airlifted by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary, where he received immediate treatment.

Thankfully, the club have release a statement confirming Smith has the all clear after staying in hospital overnight under observation.
A tweet from Huddersfield's official account read: "Tommy Smith has been discharged & is now home. htafc is looking forward to seeing him back in action once he gets the full all-clear!"
