Leicester FAIL to agree personal terms with Wigan's Shaun Maloney
LEICESTER have failed in their bid to sign Wigan winger Shaun Maloney.
Shaun Maloney looks set to remain at Wigan
The Foxes agreed a fee believed to be just over £1m with Wigan for the Scotland international after having an initial bid turned down.
But Latics manager Malky Mackay has today revealed the 31-year-old will not be joining the King Power Stadium due to failure to agree personal terms.
Mackay said: “In the last few days we accepted a bid from Leicester City for Shaun Maloney, but personal talks have broken down between the club and Shaun, so that looks like it’s finished.

We're delighted that we’ve got Shaun as our player
“Chicago Fire are another club that have a keen interest in Shaun, but that wouldn’t be until the end of his contract.”
He added: “As far as we’re concerned, we’re delighted that we’ve got Shaun as our player.
"He’s an active member in the squad until the end of his contract, unless bids come in again that are accepted by the club.”
