Arsene Wenger opens up on Aaron Ramsey's wonder goal
ARSENE WENGER has eulogised Aaron Ramsey's wonder goal for Arsenal against Galatasaray, hailing his technique in the process.
Aaron Ramsey scored one of the most memorable goals in Champions League history
The Welsh midfielder scored arguably one of the greatest goals scored in the Champions League, as the Gunners enjoyed an emphatic 4-1 win in Istanbul.
After the game, Ramsey initially claimed his volley against Norwich in the Premier League was his finest strike.
However, he later changed his mind, ranking the spectacular goal against the Turkish outfit as his standout effort.
Though Ramsey will be absent for the Gunners against Newcastle tomorrow (5:30pm), Wenger was quick to hail the strike.
He said: "It's a great goal and it was unexpected.
"Aaron [Ramsey] was surprised, but he has good technique and he's not frightened to take his chances and he took it well."
Ramsey is out with a hamstring injury and besides missing the critical game against Newcastle, it has been reported he could miss Arsenal's festive programme.
