Harry Redknapp will not discipline players caught up in a pub melee
Several Rangers players, including Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton, Charlie Austin and Steven Caulker, were reportedly involved in a fracas that erupted as they had a Christmas lunch at a pub in West London.
Caulker was taken to hospital with a cut head but not detained. Rangers issued a statement yesterday by denying any of their players were involved in any wrongdoing.
There will not be any action taken
And owner Tony Fernandes insisted the defender simply fell an injured himself.
Redknapp had previously banned any Christmas parties for his players, but a Rangers source last night told Express Sport: "Harry knew the players were at the lunch and it was all above board.
"It was for players who were not involved in Monday's reserve game and with no match for nine days. There will not be any action taken."
