£17m Bentley set for Spurs switch
TOTTENHAM are set to splash the cash they received for Robbie Keane on Blackburn winger David Bentley.
The £17m-rated England star is looking for a move away from Ewood Park and Spurs have entered negotiations with Blackburn in a bid to secure his signing.
Rovers chairman John Williams confirmed they are in negotiations with the Londoners but insisted to BBC Radio Lancashire they had not accepted a bid from Spurs for the 23-year-old.
Blackburn have already rejected offers from Spurs and Aston Villa for Bentley, who has six England caps and is seen as Fabio Capello's long-term replacement for David Beckham.
Tottenham sold Republic of Ireland international Robbie Keane to Liverpool for a fee which could total £20.3million.
