SOUTHAMPTON manager Ronald Koeman saw his side suffer their second successive defeat courtesy of a late goal from Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Saints battled well and were fully deserving of a point at The Emirates, however a late injury to Toby Alderweireld may have shifted the game in the home team's favour.
The Belgian centre-back went down and immediately signalled to the bench that he needed to be replaced - however all three substitutes had been made, leaving Saints to finish the game with ten men.
Koeman was pleased with Southampton's reaction having been brushed aside by Manchester City on Saturday, but lamented Alderweireld's injury.

We were unlucky to get a player injured after making all of our substitutions
He said: "We had a good positive reaction after last Sunday, a good first half, good ball possession, a good chance off Pelle.
"After an hour it was more difficult, Arsenal were pressing more but the difference was 11 v 10. We were unlucky to get a player injured after making all of our substitutions, you know they will create chances and in the last few minutes they made it 1-0. Forster had a very good game today.
"We knew it would be difficult but the performance today is better than Sunday. We know we don't have the numbers of players that Arsenal and Manchester United have."
