Radamel Falcao ruled OUT of Manchester derby… but Wayne Rooney is fit
RADAMEL FALCAO will miss the Manchester derby for Manchester United this weekend.
The Colombian striker sat out the 1-1 draw against Chelsea last weekend through injury.
Alarms were raised when Falcao did not train with the squad at Carrington ahead of the big game.
And Louis van Gaal has confirmed Falcao will play no part at the Etihad against Manchester City on Sunday (1:30pm).
However, United will have Wayne Rooney back as he is fit and has served a three-match suspension for the red card he picked up against West Ham.

Van Gaal said: "He [Rooney] was never injured.
"He shall play, he is my captain.
"He has scored a lot of goals against City, the most of any player.
"I am very happy that he can play, and he shall."

Van Gaal also gave a jovial answer when quizzed about why Rooney appeared to be limping at a sponsor's event at Old Trafford on Monday.
He added: "Maybe his shoes were too tight!"
Rooney's return is a welcome boost as he has the record of having scored the most goals in a Manchester derby (11).
