Marek Hamsik's agent hints at Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd switch as Napoli doubts grow
SLOVAKIAN midfielder Marek Hamsik could be heading for the Stadio San Paolo exit after his agent refused to discuss his future at Napoli.
Hamsik's agent Juraj Venglos, has hinted that his client is not entirely happy at Napoli, and could be destined to leave the Gli Azzurri should an attractive proposition present itself.
Venglos was directly asked about the 27-year-old's future in Italy, to which he replied: "Future? I prefer not to talk about that.”
The coy response is likely to set alarm bells ringing for any of the midfielder's potential suitors - who are reported to include Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Future? I prefer not to talk about that
Venglos' comments could just be a reaction to the indifferent start Napoli have had to the season, and the growing unrest surrounding Rafa Bentiez's position.
The Italian side are in a precarious financial position - exacerbated by their early Champions League exit, and could be forced to sell to recoup their economic shortcomings.
The Slovakian dynamo alongside Gonzalo Higuain are the club's two most valuable assists, with a combined valuation of around £65m.
However three wins on the bounce could signal that Napoli have turned a corner, and can focus on climbing Serie A without a Champions League distraction.
