Louis van Gaal's Man Utd injury fears calmed as £27m left-back Luke Shaw shrugs off knock
LUKE SHAW has played down injury talk despite being forced off early against Everton yesterday.
Shaw, who conceded a penalty in the first half at Old Trafford, took a knock to the knee and was replaced by Tyler Blackett in the 71st minute.
However, the 19-year-old says he will join up with the England Under-21s for their Euro 2015 play-off games.
Shaw told the Manchester Evening News: "It's not a bad injury, it's a dead leg on my knee.

“I felt it in the first 20 minutes when I got caught but it carried on during the game so I thought it was probably best to come off before it gets any worse.
"I spoke with the doctor and obviously the manager as well and both feel it's best that I do go (with England Under-21s) as it's not an injury that is going to keep me out.

“Hopefully, I should be training in the next couple of days and can get another two games of 90 minutes.
“As I said, I've been talking to the manager and we've spoken about and think it's a great idea for me to go to help out with the Under-21s and get some game-time as well.”
