Roberto Martinez praises Man Utd's 'WORLD-CLASS' penalty king David de Gea
ROBERTO MARTINEZ has praised Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea for making a string of saves to hold off Everton at Old Trafford.
De Gea saved Luke Shaw's blushes to get down to a Leighton Baines penalty moments before half time to parry the England international's effort to safety.
And in the dying minutes of the game, the Spaniard pulled off two magnificent saves to stop Leon Osman and Bryan oviedo scoring a late equaliser as United ran out 2-1 winners.
Martinez said: "It was a very good game and a few chances appeared to open.
"I just felt that David de Gea made two world-class saves that probably stopped us getting a positive result. But even then, I thought that the time we were going forward we were creating and the second-half performance deserved a lot more than what we got."
Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao found the net for United either side of Steven Naismith's head as Louis van Gaal's men won their third game in four.
