Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers told to beat Arsenal and Man Utd to Marco Reus
JAMIE CARRAGHER wants to see Liverpool chiefs sign Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool are rivalling Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid for Reus' signature but Carragher wants Brendan Rodgers to snap up the German to add pace, goals and assists to his squad.
Twitter user DBecks07 asked the Anfield legend: "One signing you can make for Liverpool if you have all the money in the world?"
He replied: "Reus - pace goals and assists!"
Carragher's dream of seeing Reus scoring in front of the Kop has been mocked by some fans.
One sarcastic punter replied: "What about a realistic signing?".
Marco Reus Player Profile
It recently emerged that the German international is set to leave Dortmund next summer.
According to reports in Germany, Reus does not want to renew his contract with the club, which currently runs until 2016, forcing bosses at the Bundesliga club to sell him next summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
It is understood that the 25-year-old has a release clause which is set to drop to just £20m at the end of the season.
However, Champions League winners Real appear to be in pole position as Reus as the forward shares the same agent with midfielder Toni Kroos, who joined this summer from Bayern Munich.
