Carlo Ancelotti blasts speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with £140m Man Utd move
REAL MADRID manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with an emotional return to Manchester United.
United are reportedly keen to re-sign their former player after it emerged Ronaldo's relations with the Real board have strained following the sales of Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso.
However, Italian Ancelotti believes the Portuguese superstar is happy at the club.
“I believe the reports are nonsense,” he said. “Cristiano is happy here and is very motivated to be at this club and all at Real Madrid are happy with him.”
Ancelotti's intervention follows Ronaldo's comments earlier in the week indicating he would stay with the Champions League winners.

He said: "It's all speculation, speaking about my future ... My future is Madrid. I'm happy.
"The season is going well and I'm not talking about my future, it doesn't make sense."
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal stoked up talk of Ronaldo's possible return to Old Trafford last week.
He said: "Would I buy him? When it is possible, what I said with Falcao, players like Ronaldo give a lot extra to a team.
"But I don't think Real Madrid would sell. It's always a subject for discussion in the papers but I don't think the media shall buy Ronaldo."
