A new start! Louis Van Gaal thrilled with Man Utd performance against QPR
LOUIS VAN GAAL has hailed Manchester United's 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers as "a new start".
The Red Devils were irresistible as they carved open the opposition's defence, with new signings Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera getting on the score-sheet alongside Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata.
The Old Trafford faithful were delighted with their side's efforts, and Van Gaal was able to claim his first competitive win since taking the reigns during the summer.
United suffered an embarrassing opening-day defeat to Swansea, as well as falling victim to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup, but Van Gaal has urged his players to use the win over the Hoops as a springboard for the rest of the season.

Today we made goals and created chances. I'm very happy
He said: "I said to the players, we have to make a new start, today. We start now. I now have my selection, 27 players. These will be our players for the season.
"We made four goals, and in spite of our loss against Swansea and the draws [against Sunderland and Burnley], we were the better team but we failed to make goals.
"Today we made goals and created chances. I'm very happy with the goals and in the second half we had a lot of chances."
