SPOTTED: Mario Balotelli arrives in Liverpool ahead of £16m move
FORMER Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli is edging closer to completing a £16m move to Liverpool.
Balotelli arrives in Liverpool ahead of £16m transfer
Balotelli has arrived at Liverpool's Melwood training facility ahead of his Premier League return.
The 24-year-old striker left Milan earlier today after the two clubs agreed a fee believed to be £16m.
The Italy international is set to undergo a medical today and could become an Anfield player before the start of the weekend.
He is reportedly ready to sign a contract worth £120,000-a-week with the Merseysiders, who finished second in the Premier League last season.
Balotelli will become the Reds' ninth signing of the summer, following Divock Origi, Alberto Moreno, Lazar Markovic, Javi Manquillo, Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers refused to discuss Balotelli at his press conference.
He said: "I can categorically tell you that I can't speak about it or anything until the player's signed.
"If we sign anyone I will speak at length about them but until then I can't say anything."
