£50million Angel Di Maria set to join Man Utd as Real Madrid sanction move
REAL MADRID have told Angel Di Maria that he can join Manchester United in a £50million deal.
The Argentina international has been the subject of a big-money bid from the Red Devils as Louis Van Gaal looks to rebuild his new squad.
Paris St-Germain have been looking to hijack United's move after approaching Madrid for a loan switch, but according to various reports Carlo Ancelotti has given Di Maria the green light to move to England.
The former AC Milan and Chelsea manager has made big-money moves for the likes of Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos and Monaco's James Rodriguez, and accepts that a player of Di Maria's quality would be wasted sitting on the bench for most of the season.
The ex-Benfica winger is also set to be joined by compatriot Marcos Rojo, who has publicly express his desire to leave Sporting Lisbon for the Premier League.
The left-back, who can also fill in at centre-half, is on the verge of sealing a £16million move in the upcoming days, and hinted at a move for Di Maria after 'liking' an Instagram picture of the pair with the Manchester United crest in the background.
