SPOTTED! Paul Scholes and Michael Owen back on Man Utd BENCH against Swansea
FORMER Manchester United stars Paul Scholes and Michael Owen have made a shock return to the Old Trafford dugout.
But Louis van Gaal has not brought the pair out of retirement.
Scholes and Owen have not laced up their boots for action but are back at United to cover Van Gaal's first game in charge.
The ex-England internationals are part of BT Sport's football team with Scholes working as a pundit and Owen a commentator.

And Scholes was among the many left disappointed when United went behind early on against Swansea to a Ki Sung-yueng strike.
"I think the three midfield players need to get on the ball more, they've struggled," Scholes said.
"You need to get the ball to your best players, [Wayne] Rooney and centre-forward [Javier] Hernandez.
"It's looking quite dangerous for United but hopefully if they can get the ball to Rooney he can make something happen."
