Juventus want Arturo Vidal's Man Utd move to fund SHOCK deal for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere
JUVENTUS are lining up a shock move for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere and could sell Arturo Vidal to Manchester United to fund the deal.
Reports suggest that the Turin club have already made contact with Wilshere's English-based agents to explore the possibility of bring the England international to Italy.
While discussions are yet to reach the point of a formal enquiry, it is thought that Juve's interest is genuine.
Arsene Wenger said last week that Wilshere was the fittest he has been for a long time and that big things were expected of him this season.
He said: "It is a big season for Jack.
"In the last three years for me, this is the best shape he has been over pre-season.
Reasons to buy Arturo Vidal
He is prepared, he is rid of his ankle problems and if he can maintain that he will have a great season.
"He is prepared, he is rid of his ankle problems and if he can maintain that he will have a great season.
"But I agree, it's a big season for him."
But with the 22-year-old gaining a reputation as injury prone and courting off-field controversy over the summer, it is possible that Arsenal would consider a sale for the right price.
Whether Juve are in a position to make such a bid is likely to depend on whether Arturo Vidal makes a £47m move to Manchester United.
Rumours of Juve's interest in Wilshere could also spark a fresh round of speculation about the future of Paul Pogba, who has been linked with a big money move to Chelsea.
Wilshere's current deal at Arsenal expires in 2017, but Juve could potentially offer an increase on the player's £80,000-a-week wages.
