Man Utd and Spurs rejected as Everton star James McCarthy lauds life at Goodison Park
MIDFIELDER James McCarthy insists he is happy at Everton despite transfer speculation linking the 23-year-old with a move away from Goodison Park.
The former Wigan starlet has been accosted by a multitude of Premier League sides including Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham over the summer.
And has caused a storm on Merseyside after being quoted as saying "We will see what happens" when asked about United's interest.
However the Irish international has rubbished any such reports by declaring his affection for the side he joined just 11-months ago.
McCarthy said: "I've settled in and everyone made me feel so welcome.
I'm enjoying life here. I feel part of the family. It's a real family club and it's great to be involved in

"It's been a year since I came but it feels a lot longer than that.”
"It wasn't easy coming to a big club like this and trying to adapt but at least I knew the style of play."
McCarthy is referring to his time spent under the tenure of Roberto Martinez at Wigan - both of whom represented the Latics for four-years before making the short trip across the M58.
The Irish youngster is clearly in awe of his inspiring manager, labelling him a "tactical genius" after Wigan's unprecedented FA Cup victory.
Many on Merseyside raised an eyebrow about the £13m fee paid for the relatively unknown quantity - but dogged determination laced with a genuine ability to read the game has won over skeptics.
