CONFIRMED: £4m Eric Dier becomes Tottenham's THIRD summer signing
TOTTENHAM have announced their third signing of the summer by completing a £4m deal for Sporting Lisbon defender Eric Dier.
The north London side fended off interest from Newcastle and West Ham to clinch a five-year deal for the Englishman as Mauricio Pochettino has strengthened his backline.
Speaking about his move, Dier told the club's official website: "I am really excited to be joining such a big club in the Premier League.
"It has always been my ambition to come back to England and play in the Premier League so I am really happy to be back.
"I want to impress the manager and keep the fans happy. I want to do as well as possible for the club.
