Second Chelsea legend returns to Premier League as Man City line-up six-month loan deal
CHELSEA legend Frank Lampard is set to sign a short-term deal with Manchester City.
The Premier League champions are currently thrashing out a deal with Lampard's representatives to lure him to the Etihad.
The England international joined City’s Major League Soccer team, New York City - just two-weeks ago, but without a fixture until March 2015 - Lampard is free to return.
Chelsea Premier League Preview
Lampard could even feature in Man City's Community Shield match with Arsenal next Sunday - a competition the 36-year-old has won twice.
It isn't clear how the move will be received in West London, but after allowing Lampard's contract to expire - Chelsea chiefs can't begrudge their former star's actions.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp is also likely to be irked by the move after having his advances spurned by his nephew.
