Napoli chief gives Man Utd HILARIOUS reason for pursuit of £15m-rated Marouane Fellaini
NAPOLI president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed his interest in signing Manchester United's £27m flop Marouane Fellaini, but did give a rather unorthodox reason for doing so.
The eccentric Italian conceded that his side are looking to lure the Belgian away from Old Trafford, but are other targets remain.
He said: "Fellaini is one of the names of our midfield, but he's not the only one."
When asked why he'd like to bolster his midfield ranks with the 26-year-old he replied: "His hairstyle could be perfect for the Neapolitan style.
I like his 'lion-hair'
"I like his 'lion-hair'. I have introduced Inler like a lion, Fellaini could compensate for his lack of hair."
No cash sum has been reported yet, but a fee in the region of £15m is likely to secure the former Everton man's signature.
Talk of Fellaini's Old Trafford departure has accelerated since it emerged he and his agent met with Napoli director Riccardo Bigon in Brussels.
And with the confirmation foam De Laurentiis - Fellaini could soon find himself playing under former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez.
