Chelsea, Man Utd or Real Madrid? Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos has 'made decision' on future
BAYERN MUNICH and Germany star Toni Kroos has admitted he knows where he will be playing next season, but the midfielder is still yet to reveal whether he's penned a deal with Chelsea, Manchester United or Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old playmaker is in high demand after it was made clear that he wouldn't be signing a new deal with Pep Guardiola's side, and both Chelsea and United were ready to make a move once his contract expired in 2015.
However reports in Spain claim that it is Carlo Ancelotti and Madrid who have won the race for his signature, and the German has apparently signed a five-year-deal in a move worth £20million.
Despite the seemingly imminent move to La Liga, it was claimed that Chelsea had launched a late bid in a last-ditch attempt to convince Kroos to swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League, but the midfielder is still giving nothing way as his long-running transfer saga comes to a close.
"I have made my decision," he told TZ.
Congratulations to Real Madrid, they've got themselves a genius there
"First I want to play the World Cup. Once it's over, I'll make my decision public. There's still a week left to go."
However, Germany legend Lothar Matthaus is convinced Kroos has signed for the Champions League winners, and congratulated Ancelotti on his savvy purchase.
He told Marca: "Congratulations to Real Madrid, they've got themselves a genius there.
"Toni is very intelligent, he passes the ball brilliantly and he can shoot hard and well.
"Ronaldo and Bale can really expand alongside him."
