Leeds captain Ross McCormack hands in transfer request
WEST HAM, Newcastle, Fulham, Cardiff and Norwich target Ross McCormack has handed in a transfer request to Leeds United.
The Scotland striker has attracted strong interest this summer, finishing last season as the Championship top scorer with 28 goals.
The 27-year-old has been left out Leeds’ pre-season trip to Italy while there are doubts over his future at the club.
West Ham, Newcastle, Fulham, Cardiff and Norwich are keeping tabs on McCormack and are likely to take advantage of his situation at Elland Road.
If he gets an offer from a big team then we should give him the chance to go
The Magpies and the Hammers currently lead the chase for his signature as Cellino has previously ruled out a sale to a second-tier rival.
"Why should I sell McCormack? We are not desperate to sell him, so why should we?
"If he gets an offer from a big team then we should give him the chance to go. But the teams who’ve asked for McCormack are from the Championship."
