Sevilla lead Arsenal and Manchster City in race for Celtic's £6m Virgil van Dijk
EUROPA LEAGUE holders Sevilla are considering a £6million swoop for Celtic star Virgil van Dijk.
The Spanish outfit have noted the defender’s impressive performances, both domestically and in the Champions League, during his first season at Celtic Park following his arrival from Groningen for £2.2m last year.
New boss Ronny Deila has stated he wants to keep his top players such as Van Dijk and Fraser Forster, but knows both would be keen to move to a higher level.
Van Dijk, 22, was a big-money target for Dynamo Moscow but didn’t fancy a move to Russia, and has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City.
Sevilla could now jump to the head of the queue.
