Theo Walcott insists he won't rush his recovery[GETTY]
The speedy winger has missed out on England's World Cup squad this summer, but is expected to be back in time for next season's Premier League campaign.
Walcott has seen the likes of Liverpool's Raheem Sterling emerge as serious contenders for his spot in Roy Hodgson's side, but the former Southampton starlet is adamant that he won't be rushing back as he watches from the sidelines.

I'll come back when I'm ready
Theo Walcott
He told ITV: "I haven't put a date on my comeback yet as I don't want to set a date and miss it. I'll come back when I'm ready.
"I've had a few sessions on the pitch though and I'm feeling good but it's a lot of hard work as with this injury you just can't stop - but I'm feeling good about it."
