Real Madrid to discuss summer transfer with Arsenal target Alvaro Morata
REAL MADRID chief Florentino Perez has agreed to sit down with Alvaro Morata to discuss a potential transfer this summer.
The Spain Under-21 striker is expected to leave when the transfer window reopens after playing second fiddle to frontman Karim Benzema last term.
Reports in Spain revealed earlier in the week that Arsenal have agreed an £8m deal with the La Liga giants, but the Gunners are to face competition from Inter Milan and Juventus.
And Madrid president Florentino Perez admits the club are willing to sell, should the 21-year-old desire regular football.
For us, if we sell someone it is to play
Perez also cited Dani Carvajal's situation, who left the Champions League winners to join Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, before returning to the Bernabeu a year later due to a buy-back clause.
He said: "I have to talk to the Coach and Morata to see what is best for everyone.
"For example, what we did with Dani Carvajal was very positive, he left to play.
