Good luck Rickie! Lambert's proposed Liverpool move given blessing by Matt Le Tissier
RICKIE LAMBERT'S impending move to Liverpool has been approved by Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier.
Express Sport understands Liverpool are closing in on a £4million deal which would rise based on the number of appearances the England striker will make.
With Southampton losing Mauricio Pochettino to Tottenham, there have been fears of a mass exodus at the south coast club, with Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren tipped to leave St Mary's.
Lambert hit 14 Premier League goals for Saints last term, but Le Tissier it seems wouldn't begrudge Lambert were he to move to Anfield.
"If Rickie joins lfc i will say good luck to him and thanks for helping to resurrect #sfc," Le Tissier tweeted.

Lets not panic about possible exits until you see how the funds are reinvested in the squad and see how we look when season starts

Le Tissier also urged Saints not to panic about any other possible departures.
He added: "Lets not panic about possible exits until you see how the funds are reinvested in the squad and see how we look when season starts."
