Kasper Schmeichel reveals why he TURNED DOWN Man Utd, Arsenal & Milan to stay at Leicester
LEICESTER keeper Kasper Schmeichel has revealed why he turned down interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and AC Milan to stay with the Foxes next season.
Schmeichel signed a new four-year deal with Nigel Pearson's men last week and while he has admitted he did have attracted options he has refused to be drawn on exactly which clubs were involved.
He told Ekstra Bladet: "I can not put concrete things on the table.
"But there have been opportunities, and there were some very interesting proposals."
The 27-year-old has claimed however that his first choice was always to remain with Leicester rather than jeopardise his progress by joining a bigger club.
There have been opportunities, and there were some very interesting proposals.
He added: "My goal has always been to play in the Premier League, and it'll be with Leicester now, and I have it really good in the club.
"I do not think there's any reason to start taking chances with my career right now.
"You never get a guarantee to play, but I know I have a good chance to play in Leicester."
