I want Champions League football! Arsenal ready to pounce for Saints' Morgan Schneiderlin
ARSENAL target Morgan Schneiderlin has declared he wants to leave Southampton and play for a Champions League side.
The French midfielder has been superb for the Saints this season, earning a place on Didier Deschamp's World Cup standby list in the process.
The 24-year-old has been one of Mauricio Pochettino's key men at St Mary's, and Arsene Wenger reckons the deep-lying playmaker would fit perfectly into the Gunners' 4-2-3-1 system.
For my progress and my visibility, it would be better to play for a club who play in the Champions League
And Schneiderlin admits that for the sake of his career, a summer move to a top club would be hard to turn down.
He explained: "For my progress and my visibility, it would be better to play for a club who play in the Champions League.
"I know there is a lot of speculation, but I still have three years on my contract, it does not depend on me. We'll see in the coming weeks."
