Man Utd's Nick Powell to join Drinkwater, James and De Laet at Leicester
WIGAN loanee Nick Powell has been linked with a move to newly-promoted Leicester City.
Powell, 20, joined Manchester United from Crewe Alexandra in 2012, but has failed to nail down a first-team spot despite his £6.5m fee.
The England Under-21 international has spent the last season on loan at Wigan, helping the club to a play-offs spot with nine goals and three assists.
And now Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is keen to sign Powell in a cut-price deal, having already used United's reserves in 2012 to build his promotion-winning squad.
Leicester are keen on bringing Nick Powell to the King Power Stadium
Danny Drinkwater signed for just £750k, while Matty James and Ritchie De Laet arrived at the King Power Stadium in a joint £1.1m deal.
The trio have all been key to securing the Championship top spot this year, with Drinkwater winning the club's player and goal of the year, while James picked up the young player's equivalent.
Pearson is not one for not splashing the cash and is likely to capitalise on Powell's situation at United.
