Patrice Evra poised to follow Nemanja Vidic out of Manchester United exit
PATRICE EVRA could follow Nemanja Vidic to the San Siro with the Manchester United defender high on Inter Milan's wishlist.
The 32-year-old defender is out of contract at the end of the summer and has yet to agree a fresh deal.
Vidic has already agreed to join Inter on a free while Rio Ferdinand's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.
More significantly, United are chasing Southampton's £20million rated full-back Luke Shaw as a possible long-term replacement.
Reports have surfaced that Inter president Erick Thorir has already held a round of talks with Evra's agent.
It is thought Evra is keen to wind down his contract and join up with Vidic at the San Siro.
Evra has also been linked with a move to Monaco, but Inter appear to be in the driving seat to sign him.
The Frenchman has been United's first-choice left-back since moving to United in 2006.
