Inter move for Arsenal's Sagna OFF but deal for Chelsea's Torres still a priority
INTER MILAN sporting director Piero Ausilio has revealed the club remain keen to bring Chelsea's Fernando Torres to Serie A this summer but have pulled out of talks with Arsenal's Bacary Sagna.
Sagna has been linked with a host of clubs - including Manchester City - with his contract at the Emirates drawing to a close.
And Inter were keen on the Frenchman but believe that they have now been priced out of a move.
Ausilio told CdSport: "We exhibited our technical and economic programs to Sagna but we realized that it was not viable solution."

However, Ausilio says that Torres remains a long-term target for the club and believes they are still in the race to sign the Spaniard this summer.
He added: "We are looking at a striker and there is a favourite. We have made checks and in a few days we will try and get the optimal outcome.
"We have been following Torres for a long time. He has won things everywhere.
"Look at his career. If he has the right motivation and the desire to be part of an ambitious new project [we would like him]."
