Former Liverpool man John Arne Riise hopes for new Fulham contract
JOHN ARNE RIISE has expressed his desire to remain at Fulham despite dropping to the Championship this season.
The Norway left-back's contract expires in the summer and he has yet to start contract talks due to the club's relegation scrap.
However, the Cottagers have now sealed their fate after losing 4-1 to Stoke at the weekend.
And Riise insists he is keen to help the Londoners make an immediate return to the Premier League next term.
If they want to keep me and everything is right for me then I'll stay
"My contract is up now. If I'm here or not next season I don't know, but Fulham will always be in my heart," Riise said.
"I haven't spoken to the club because my focus has been keeping the club in the Premier League.
"If they want to keep me and everything is right for me then I'll stay."
