We need some points… not punch-ups says Swansea captain Ashley Williams
ASHLEY WILLIAMS wants his Swansea players to show some real fight as they battle for their Premier League lives.
Rocked by accusations of another training ground punch-up in the build-up to last Sunday's 1-0 home defeat by Chelsea, Swansea head to Newcastle on Saturday knowing they have to stop the rot that has seen them win once in their last nine league outings.
Sunday's loss left the Swans 15th in the Premier League, just three points above 18th-placed Fulham and four above second-from-bottom Cardiff.
But Wales skipper Williams is in no doubt there is enough quality in his side to take the necessary points to make it four seasons in a row in the top flight.
He said: "I'm sure we'll be OK with the fight we have shown and the people we have in the dressing room. We're here and that is it - we have to fight and keep working.

"Newcastle are on a poor run and we need to go there and perform. We need to win and, if we perform like we did against Chelsea, I am sure we can.
"When you're in a relegation battle I'd rather be where we are than where some of the other teams are. We are disappointed and gutted, but there are positives we can take.
"It's impossible to know what we need from the last four games because of how strange a season it has been both at the top and the bottom. It's different to normal seasons, as everyone is still in the mix but we really need points.
"We need to be brave, we need to be positive and we need to play for the whole 90 minutes and take the points. We say it every week - we need points.
"It's just so bizarre. We train well, we set-up well, we go out and do well most of the time and we create chances.
"I hate to say it but it does seem like the luck is against us this season. And the only way to beat that is to keep working hard."
