It won't happen again! Chris Smalling adamant Man Utd won't repeat this season's failings
CHRIS SMALLING has vowed that Manchester United will learn the painful lessons of this season and that it won't be repeated again.
United are currently languishing in the accustomed position of seventh in the table, nine points adrift of fourth-placed Everton.
More significantly, they have lost TEN times in the league this season and there have been murmurings of discontent from the fans.
Though Moyes has endured a troubling start at Old Trafford, Smalling has pledged that United will 'work harder than ever' to get back to the top.
"You learn that you can't take what has happened in previous years for granted," Smalling told Inside United, the club's official magazine.
"I think this experience will help us make sure we never let this happen again.

"We gave ourselves an uphill task by not really starting the season well and, come next season, we will make sure we work harder than ever. This club deserves to be at the top and, hopefully, we'll be back there soon enough."
Smalling also accepts he understands that the fans have also been hurting.
He added: "Whenever we've made progress this season, we've not followed it up in the next two or three games, which has been disappointing.
"That has hurt us. I know how much the fans are hurting and we're hurting as well."
