CARDIFF snatched a crucial win against Southampton to keep their survival dreams alive.
Juan Cala struck in the 65th minute to sink the Saints and sent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side into raptures.
The Saints dominated most of the play and hit the post early on through Gaston Ramirez.
David Marshall continued his fine form by pulling off a number of top saves to keep his side in the game.
Cala then struck a fine shot in the second half to break the deadlock and leave Southampton reeling.
The win sees Cardiff remain just three points off safety, and with four games left there is all to play for.
Southampton remain stranded in 8th, nine points behind Manchester United and just two above Newcastle.
