We CAN beat Manchester City even if Sergio Aguero returns - Mauricio Pochettino
MAURICIO POCHETTINO is optimistic Southampton can dent Manchester City's title bid this weekend even if Sergio Aguero returns from injury.
The Argentine hitman has been out of action for the last three weeks with a hamstring injury and has been earmarked to make a return against the Saints.
Pochettino's side earned a creditable 1-1 draw against the Citizens back in December and have enjoyed a fine season thus far.
And Pochettino is full of belief that Southampton can snatch three points.
We always have the belief that we are going to win," the Saints boss said.
"We have the belief in every single game that we are going to win.
I always want to be facing the best players who are fully fit
"We know we are going to be facing a very tough side in Manchester City, a side that is definitely a candidate to win in the Premier League and are one of the best teams in England and Europe.
"Despite that we are still going with the belief that we are going to play our game and we are going to get something out of that game.
Aguero is City's top scorer with 26 goals this season, and Pochettino believes it is better when his side test their mettle against the world's best.
He added: "I would like to be playing against him.
"I think injuries are a very hard process to withstand, it is not easy for any player, and I always want to be facing the best players who are fully fit."
