Napoli to sign Pepe Reina on permanent deal
NAPOLI have revealed their intentions to sign Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina on a permanent deal when the transfer window reopens.
The 31-year-old Spaniard switched to Serie A last summer on a season-long loan, with his parent club having bought Simon Mignolet as their new number one.
Reina has already admitted that he is to consider his options after the season, with a number of clubs interested in his availability.
But Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that he will look to land Reina - who pulled-off a match-winning performance against leaders Juventus on Sunday - in the summer.
I want him confirmed for next season
De Laurentiis said: "After yesterday's victory I went down to the locker room and I promised the players a bonus if they can finish second.
"Then I talked to Reina and told him that he must remain with us. I want him confirmed for next season.
"He was happy, for him it was a double reward."
