Daniel Agger joins Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers in endorsing Luis Suarez for top award
DANIEL AGGER has been unequivocal in his praise for Luis Suarez, and like his Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, believes the Uruguayan should be crowned PFA Player of the Year.
Voting is thought to have got underway and there are a phalanx of players that have impressed this season including Chelsea's mercurial playmaker Eden Hazard and Manchester City's midfield powerhouse Yaya Toure.
Suarez has been in devastating form for Liverpool and hit his 28th league goal of the season when he helped himself to a hat-trick in the Reds' thrilling 6-3 win over Cardiff last weekend.
Rodgers has already endorsed Suarez for being 'consistently remarkable' and Agger has followed suit by claiming the striker is the outstanding candidate for the award.
"Luis has got everything," Agger told the Liverpool Echo.
Without a doubt, he has to be Footballer of the Year
"He is right up there with the best. What he does on the pitch is just unbelievable.
"Every team in this league is afraid of him and rightly so.
"Without a doubt, he has to be Footballer of the Year. It's not only his goals and his assists, but also his work rate for the team."
